FEMA Chief Blames the Victims

This is on the CNN website, here: http://www.cnn.com/2005/WEATHER/09/01/katrina.fema.brown/index.html

The subhead is:

Brown pleased with effort: 'Things are going relatively well'

(CNN) -- The director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency [Micheal Brown]said Thursday those New Orleans residents who chose not to heed warnings to evacuate before Hurricane Katrina bear some responsibility for their fates.

.

Did he expect them to walk out? How far should they have walked to be safe? How far could you walk, carrying your most precious belongings, in 24 hours? Where would you have had them shelter when the storm hit?

The inneptitude and cruelty of this man is monumental beyond belief.

The head of FEMA is lying to the nation and half a million refugees know he is lying and as many expats like myslef know it.

They will never trust FEMA or Homeland Security or the Federal Government again.

Comments:
Did you watch the "press conference" of bush landing in mobile, with the republican ass kissing governors of al and ms?

It was disgusting. absolutely disgusting. the head of fema spewed off a few statistics, stuttering through half of them, while bush just smirked. then the other govs made it a point to say the federal government is so great, helped so much, etc.

I'm watching the live feed right now and it is just a microcosm of how the administration and federal government is dropping the ball.

a bunch of fools and sycophants... and talk, talk, talk, and photo ops.

I read an interesting article on it I would like to share with you...
